The challenge starts here.

Welcome to the very first Bison Box.

Bison Box 001 is a collection of steel scrap, reclaimed metal, and random pieces of metal that were waiting for a second life. Inside you’ll find a little bit of everything, from sheet steel and springs to railroad spikes, ball bearings, cutoffs, odd-shaped pieces, and plenty of metal that may not immediately reveal what it could become.

And that’s the point.

We aren't giving you a blueprint.

We're giving you the materials and challenging you to create something completely your own.

Build Something One of a Kind

The goal of Bison Box 001 is simple:

Use what’s in the box to create a custom, one-of-a-kind sculpture.

We strongly encourage you to take the challenge and see what you can create using only the materials included in your Bison Box.

You may look at one piece and immediately know what it should become. Another piece might sit on your workbench for a while before you realize what it can do. You might bend something, cut something, weld pieces together, turn a piece upside down, or completely transform something into something it was never intended to be.

There is no wrong way to build it.

The challenge is to look at a box of metal and see something that isn't there yet.

You'll see different ways the pieces can be used, modified, combined, and transformed. Hopefully, those builds will give you some ideas of your own.

But don't just copy what someone else made.

Take the idea and make it yours.

Bison Box 001 is more than a box of scrap metal.

It's a challenge to your welding skills.

It's a challenge to your creativity.

It's a challenge to look at ordinary pieces of steel differently.

And when you're finished, you'll have something that didn't exist before you opened the box.

A sculpture that is completely your own.

No two builds have to look alike, even when they start with the same materials.

Share Your Build

We want to see what you create.

As you build your sculpture, take photos and videos along the way. Show us the box when you open it. Show us the pieces you chose. Show us the mistakes, changes, welding, grinding, and transformation.

Then show us the finished sculpture.

Share your build with The Wild Bison for a chance to be featured on our website, social media, and YouTube channel.

Your Bison Box may be the starting point for a sculpture, but your build could become part of The Wild Bison story.

What's Inside?

Bison Box 001 contains a variety of steel scrap and reclaimed metal pieces, which may include:

• Sheet steel

• Railroad spikes

• Steel cutoffs
• Small fabricated pieces
• Odd shapes and miscellaneous steel
• Other unexpected pieces of metal

The contents are intentionally varied. The exact pieces, shapes, sizes, and quantities may vary.

Bison Box 001 will ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on the order and shipping requirements.

A select number of Bison Box 001 kits will also be available for purchase in person at FABTECH 2026.
